So my long distance boyfriend of nearly 6 months has leukaemia. At the moment that isn't our biggest concern though. He has officially been diagnosed with end-stage liver disease and has an MELD score of 23. He has a high mortality risk he was told by the doctor. After some research I discovered his mortality chance is 20%. Fortunately his kidneys are in good condition but he will need a liver transplant. Otherwise it's unlikely he'll survive past another 3 years. He's 17 and has a long life ahead of him still

It would be nice to talk to people in similar situations as me. At the moment I am supporting him and doing all I can. Praying for a liver transplant to go through. I guess it would just be nice to have someone supporting me as well.
