  • Hi Mobinaoxox,

Welcome to this friendly forum. When I was diagnosed with prostate cancer my PSA was 70 but came down rapidly to 3.18 before starting radiotherapy. Twelve weeks after fininhing r/t it was only 0.01 so it was a very effective treatment for me.

The fact that your husbands psa has now gone back up even higher would seem to indicate the chemo is not working. There are many differnt combinations of chemo drugs and it may be they will consider changing them, but you would have to talk to your husbands medical team about that.

Sorry I cant help more than that but sending best wishes and kind thoughts your way. Please let us know how things progress, Brian.

  • hi mobinaoxox,  i hope your ok,  you found the right person in  woodworm, sure he can  try to help if we can, please remember to look after yourself too, as supporters we sometimes forget to, i hope you stay positive.

  • which stage was your cancer?

my husband is stage 4 and the cancer  attacked the bones

he has done radioteraphy but it dosen't work i don't know what eles can i do.

thank you so much for your reply and your help.

  • Hi Mobinaoxox,

In answer to your question, as far as I can remember I was never given a staging; just told it was a low grade (my gleeson was 3+3=6) I was so lucky as the cancer was still contained within the prostate. Just wish I could do more to help. But I will just say this; cancer changed my life for the better. I now appreciate the simple little things in life so much more since my diagnosis. Things like seeing the autum colours, hearing children laghing, getting a smile from a complete stranger all have greater meaning to me these days.

I wish you and your husband all the best with kind thoughts being sent your way, Brian.

  • I hope you'll be happy and healthy everyday, mobina♥

  • did you have any special diet?

  • Hi Mobinaoxox

No I didnt have to have any special Diet. But since having the radiotherapy my tastes have changed slightly. I still eat cheese but I dont enjoy it as much as I used to. This applies to certain other foods as well but other foods I only used to eat occasionally, I now eat on a much more regular basis. It may also have something to do with my age ha ha.

I fully intend to enjoy my life to the full Thank you for your kind words.Sending best wishes to you and your husband, Brian.
