I am sorry to read about your sister then the bad news about your mother as well. You have come to the right place for it better to talk annonmously to people you will never meet than it is to offload your fears and feelings to family or friends. For people on here now how your feeling for often they have had to deal with similar bad news situations. For instance I felt like you when my father's prostate cancer came back last year. He lived in the far side of Canada in I live in the south east of England so I had to rely of my youngest sister to keep me informed. I felt I should be there but my dear wife has several health problems and I couldnt risk going over. Thanks Brian I wasn't sure what to do this morning. It's nice just to be able to say what's on my mind without feeling guilty.  As a family this year has been awful my dad's been ill I had a major opp and now with my sister and mum. I'm seen as the strong 1 off the family and although I don't live by them they always phone me. My hubby has been a rock but I find I'm taking my anger out on him which isn't fair.  It's nice to know I'm not alone. Thanks for your kind words sending you all the best 

Thank-you it means a lot.  Cancer is a very lonely disease whether you have the disease or someone you love has it. At this moment my head is all over the place but it's a great comfort knowing now I have this page were I can see that I'm not alone and were I can say what I'm feeling without being judged or feel guilty. 

 you will be sad, you will be positive, and  then you realise how precious life is and every day is ,       the saying     life passes you by while were busy doing other things ,  it is so true
