Does anyone else out there feel they end up supporting everyone else through their diagnosis and treatment and not getting enough/anything back from friends and family?
In fact some friends seem to have disappeared all together.

Hi Gail,
It's been a mixed experience, to be honest. Sometimes the person with cancer seems to be the calmest and most sensible person involved. Some family members can be great and some next to useless - not always the ones you'd expect.
Fair weather friends will always run for the hills - you certainly find out who your real friends are.
Good luck
Dave
Hi there
I completely agree with you on this it's always surprising on who is there and who.runs.
I lost alot of goodfriends through having cancer though I also made some amazing friends to.

Nah - you just find out who your good friends really are and lose the phonies and lightweights
