About my mother

My mother had breast cancer 2 years ago and she made it, she just told me that she has 3 metastatic tumors now on her brain from her previous cancer... I dont really want to ask her this. Does anyone know how bad can it be ? Will she make it this time? I dont want to ask her these questions obviously. All she says is that they are inoperable and she might be able to get radiotherapy to maybe decrease the speed of growth of the tumors. Anyone?

  • She was not as pessimistic about it when she had breast cancer... the way she talks now is very different like she is ready to say goodbye. I dont understand, she is only 41, is it really not likely to take care of these 3 tumors??

  • Hello bananapudding,

Welcome to Cancer Chat bananapudding. I am sorry to hear you have just found out that your mum now has three metastatic tumours. It is very difficult to predict how this will affect your mum and only your mum's medical team will be able to give you some guidance as to what this may mean. I do hope you get some answers soon.

Perhaps you could give our expert nurses a call and talk things through with them? You can reach them on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
