Lymphoma in the brain.

Hi,my husband was diagnosed in March with non-hodgkins lymphoma in the spine.Everthing going well after chemo all bloods, bone marrow and pet scans all came back clear. You can imagine our shock when my husband starting having trouble with is left eye and headaches 3 months after all treatment had finished We went to A/E and he had a M/Rscan and that revealed the cancer had gone to his brain we were told that when the chemo finished the cancer was so aggresive it came back up the spine and into the brain. We have been told without treatment he will have 3 months to live so hes started the most powerful chemo and so far hes doing well.Anybody else on this site with lesion on the brain.

  • Hello timothy2,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. What a shock it must have been for you after everything was going so well to then find out the cancer had spread to his brain. We hope this powerful chemotherapy treatment will work for him and I am glad he is doing well on it at the moment.

I have found this thread for you by [@Jenna_B]‍ whose grandmother was diagnosed with lymphoma with a spread in the brain. It isn't clear though whether she has the same type of lymphoma as your husband as she was at the time awaiting further results but do feel free to respond to her thread if you wish.

Hopefully others who have experience of brain lesions will be along soon to share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
