hi everybody my names stuart and am new to this site,so hello to everybody on here.
over the last 3 months my wife has been diagnosed with cancer which has been a huge shock for everybody so i am now taking unpaid leave to be around as we have an 11 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son, unfortunatly she has a rare type of cancer NETS (neuroendicrine tumours) which have spread from her pancreas to her liver and lpmh nodes.these tumours produce insuling which lowers her sugar levels dangerously low she has been hospitalised for 2 weeks to try and control them which seems to have helped for a while but they are starting to produce insulin again so shes not very happy as she has to eat every 2 hours to help control them she also has hormone injections as well to help slow down the tumours,
i would like to ask if there is anybody on here that may have had the same diagnosies as my wife,we are currently waiting for funding from nhs england for tretment called lu- 177dotate which is very exspencive also would be nice to hear anybodys experiance of this drug all though this is taking forever.we never thought we would be in this positon but like very body else in this situation we have to go with everything that is chucked at us hope to chat to anybody thanks
