Subungual Metastatic Melanoma

Hi, I am new to the forum. I am posting as my husband was diagnosed with subungual melanoma back on Sept 9th 2015. He has went through surgeries, radiation & immunotherapy. Most recently he went and had gamma knife to his brain.

Anyone else out there been through all of this? His prognosis at this point is very poor. The melanoma has spread severly to his lungs, to his brain and other area's of his body. He did Yervoy but his oncologist advised that he doesn't think it helped and doubts he will be a late responder. So at this point he will no longer be treated with immunotherapy but they will continue to radiate the brain as to try and contain the tumors.

  • Welcome to the forum Sally although I'm sorry about your husband's prognosis after the treatment he had been through but hopefully the imumunotherapy will help contain the tumours.

Many of our members will understand what you're going through having been in similar situations with their loved ones and I'm sure they will be along soon to share their experiences with you.
