My dad's continuous battle...

Hi all, it's been nearly a year since my first post to the forum.

My father got diagnosed with terminal cancer in April 2015 aged 50. His original diagnosis was lung cancer. Throughout the year he has remained positive and all in all has responded well to his treatment.

Earlier this year however, the hospital discovered that the cancer has spread to his liver. Whilst he remains strong as stone, unfortunately I had been suffering mental health issues and dealing with this news in the wrong way and became ill myself.

This is a message to all who are struggling through the news of a loved one battling cancer - you are never ever alone. Support is all around you, you just have to simply ask for it. My lecturers at university this year have been incredible with supporting my studies through these hard times, and I have a couple of incredible friends who picked me up when I was at my lowest.

Sending all my love to those battling cancer and those looking after their loved ones.
