Hi ZoeO1, I'm so sorry to hear that your Nan has cancer, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum. At 14 yrs. old, you shouldn't have to be dealing with something like this with any loved one in your life, but sometimes stuff happens. You don't say anything about your Nan's illness such as, what kind of cancer she has, or how bad it is, and I think perhaps its' because you really don't know. I hope you have your parents, or a trusted family member you can talk to about your concerns. I have grandkids and they are a bit older than you, but I talk to them myself about my illness and give them a chance to ask me any questions they have about it. Not knowing what's going on can be more upsetting than knowing, so perhaps you can ask someone in your family to talk with you about it. I hope you do get some answers and some support from your family. Sometimes, adults don't think that young people need to know, or they are so distraught themselves about this news that they overlook that kids are a part of this too. I hope you can get someone to discuss this with you.
Come back on to the forum and let us know how you are coping with this.
Take care.
Lorraine
