Husband GBM4

Last year my husband who is only 30 was diagnosed with gbm4.  Chemo and radiotherapy hasnt worked and theres nothing else they can offer him in the way of stopping the thing growing.  Without sounding too morbid I worry about his deteriation.  Id hope it would be quick and painless. Can anyone shed any light on what will happen further down the line or does it depend on the indvidual? His tumour is in the frontal lobe of his brain.

  • Hello Carin.

Welcome to the Cancer Chat forum. I'm really sorry to hear of your husband's diagnosis and I hope that you will find some support here with others who have loved ones dealing with cancer.

I'm not sure if you have any input with specialist nurses at the moment. They would be able to help answer some of your questions about how things might progress with your husband's situation.
We do also have a team of nurses here at Cancer Research you can call to talk to. They are avaiable Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. You can also contact them here at Cancer Chat by posting in our Ask the nurses topic area and they will get back to you within a few days.

Please do keep in touch Carin. Come here to chat or to simply offload whenever needed.

Sending you both our best wishes,

  • Hi Carin,

We have another member LauraT who has joined over the weekend and I wondered if it might be helpful for you both to chat. You can find her thread here. Hope you are able to pop over to her thread and say Hi!
