Worried about my mum

Hello everyone,  my mummy was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in  September 2014. After chemotherapy then total hysterectomy, her CA_125 came down to 6 then 15 in January 2016 then it has risen to 93 in May. Although she feels okay and still goes to work. I'm so worried and don't know what to do. Her ultrasound doesn't show any tumour and her doctor says not to worry but she should just try and reduce her weight.  I  am happy to join this forum and I hope to learn more from it.

Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Thank you

  • Hello Lovely,

You seem as lovely as your username and your mum is lucky to have you. I am sorry to hear that your mum's CA125  has gone up recently. It's good news though that her ultrasound doesn't show any tumours and that the doctors told you not to worry. If you need to talk to someone about this, don't hesitate to ring our cancer nurses on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

I hope some of our members who have experience of ovarian cancer will respond with their own insight and share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
