hi im so sorry to hear about your dad my mum has just been diagnoised with terminal cancer 5/2/16 it was the biggest shock of my life and since then iv been caring for my mum on my own as like you im a lonely child and dont have contact with my dad. My mum has lung cancer and 3 brain tumours which is just awfel cos there on her brain she gets bit confused and aggitated etc its just so heartbreaking to see any loved one go through this i really feel for you.

So sorry to hear your dads suffering from incurable cancer. I can sympathise with you because I've just turned 27, my dad whose 63 was diagnosed a year ago last April to be precise with stage 4 incurable bowel cancer which had spread to his lungs and liver when he received his diagnosis. My dad too has been in hospital he almost died and needed an emergency bowel operation then caught an infection and a form of pneumonia this was last July. Feb this year he then had a stroke caused by an overdose of anesthetic which the hospital shouldn't have given him. Sorry if I've rambled on I just wanted to share a bit about my story to let you know you aren't alone. I have a little boy who is two and a half and my Dad adores him and vice versa and it's upsetting to know my dad won't be here to watch him grow into a man. There's no words to describe how devastating it is watching somebody you love deteriorate. I can't believe how life has changed for us as a family. But I've got to be strong especially for my mum who has been with him since they were 16...he's her life and I worry about her and how she will cope without him one day. I wish it would all go away but it won't so all we can do is be strong for our Daddies. If you ever need a chat please feel free to message me or anyone else who would like to talk. It helps talking to others who understand...friends do try but it's hard if they've never been in our shoes. I do hope your dad overcomes this infection and builds some strength.

so sorry hear about your Mum it's the worst thing in the world to be told a love one is do seriously ill. It sounds awful but I feel like I lost my dad quite a while ago because it's just not him anymore, seeing him so weak and in pain is terrible. For your mum to be disgnosed in February must still be sinking in for you......not that I think it does sink in, you just think No this can't be happening! Big hugs to you and your Mum xx
