Hi Debbie, welcome to the forum and sorry to hear your worries about your Dad. I think for most hospitals, it does take 3 - 4 weeks for results of scans, biopsies, etc. It is hard to get through this wait as we want to know immediately what exactly is going on, so treatment can begin. I don't think there is any way around it because of the demand for these procedures. Just know that this is all part of the process to properly get all the information needed to set up a treatment plan for your Dad. They need to know what they are dealing with before treatment.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I went through this. .Unfortunately they found cancer in my scan no operation is available too far gone.. I got a phone call a few days after scan.. so fingers crossed no news is better news.. hugs to you and your family.. oh and I was diagnosed two years ago. . I'm  Still fighting. . Be positive that's my moto xx

That's brilliant news for you. My late husband unfortunately passed within 7 months of diagnosis 20 years ago - which is possibly where my fears come from, as he was only 38 years old & we had 3 daughters under 10 to look after.  2 years is great news.  Fingers crossed my dad will have similar fortune.  I'm sure things must have come a long way since then 1995/96 Morag. 

Hi All, my name is Carol and i have Cancer i found out 3 weeks ago today and i have had quite a few things done allready, Colon Cancer and i have so far had a CT scan, and am having another one tomorrow and then i have too have  Radiothearapy every day for 5 day, then i have to have a Major Operation glad its all happing fast :) would just like to say good luck to you all. xxxx
