Hi. I am Reden from The Philippines , my Father is 63 years old, he was Diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia, 3 years ago. It was started with some hematomas on the skin without any cause like trauma. We decided to check the CBC then we found out that his WBC was elevated at 69. We did Bone Marrow last 2013, it showed negative result as per Hematologist. For 3 years, he's taking only Hydroxylurea tablets accordingly, depends on the WBC and RBC count. We checked the peripheral blood smear for Ph-Chromosomes, it showed no BCR/ABL fusion genes has been detected last March this year. We repeated again the Bone Marrow exam last week, unfortunately, it shows Negative BCR/ABL result. My Father now is suffering from left upper quadrant abdominal pain due to big spleen, he's platelet count is low as 21. I really have no idea what to do next. If someone can give some advice with the same condition or share their knowledge about what else we can do to care for my Father, I very much appreciate your kindness. Thank you in advance..
