womb cancer

I have a family history of members dieing of cancer. My Dad died of Lung Cancer he had small cell it was very traumatic I can remember every thing that happened that day as if it was yesterday.

January 2016 my mom was diagnosed with womb cancer sarcoma carcinoma mmmt. Yesterday she had an operation to remove the tumour, I must of aged 50 years. I can't stop comparing the two (my mom and dads cancer) and fear the worst. I  hate the word Cancer it makes my have goosebumps. I hate the suffering it causes and the pain.

My mom has coped really well with the op but I can't get rid of the fear. As we were told you can't cure the cancer my mom has but you can treat it. Treat as in remove it cut it out because it doesn't respond to chemo.

I feel like this, how the heck does my mom feel?

  • Thanks for sharing your story webbyjo. I am pleased to hear your mum coped really well with the op and it is normal for you to be feeling a bit fearful at the moment. Your mum is very lucky to have you by her side as you seem to be so considerate and caring.

I noticed you had had some lovely responses from our forum members on your other thread but thought I would just come and say hello and bump this thread too so that others can come and share their story with you.

    Best wishes,
