Return of cancer

Hi, My husband had throat cancer 4 years ago all checks dinar were good. Hopes were rising. Then recently he became more I'll and after a week in hospital we were told he now has oesophageal cancer , lung cancer and in his bones. We were not prepared for this devastating news. There is no cure just kerp it at bay. Waiting for full results of biopsy of tumor to determine what can be done.

So hard to take in and life has changed again.

  • Dear Paulaanne,

Your situation is clearly a difficult one. Living with cancer is dreadful for the person that have it and extremely exhausting for the people who care about them... It is a continuous war against something that we cannot completely define yet! Hope is the best remedy in this case and being strong can help you and the person suffering for it... My mother has been diagnosed breast cancer 8 years ago, and every year after that we kept on finding metastatic cancer in all her body! She is still with me, my bigger strength and the bravest person I will meet in my life probably! She is living now with colon cancer and brain cancer but she is still fighting and I am still fighting!

Don't lose your hope and your control, as much as you can have in this situations! You need to keep on fighting and he needs to fell your courage! He will fight cancer at his best!

Give yourself the time to accept the problem and to express your feeling about it! You will be able then to focus on what to do next and how to help him to do the right choice in term of cure and surgery!

Release your anger in a constructive way, music can help as well a good run in the park as well!

    Best of luck
