My Dad was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer nearly 7 years ago and went through lots of treatments over the past several years. Fortunately the treatments zapped his PC but sadly it spead to his stomach 2 years ago. He has DVT and was told to go for Chemo as it would open up doors to try at least 4 new drugs (without Chemo, they weren't accessible on the NHS apparently) He has tried one and it has just stopped working and the cancer has doubled in size in his stomach and spread to the pelvis. At his appointment last week he was told there was nothing more they could do as he has DVT and the risks were to high but Dad refused to leave without anything and they gave him a steroid which historically hasn't helped but just hindered his breathing and general health. The Oncologist new he had DVT before starting the Chemo.......I feel so angry that we were given false hope. Is anyone else in the same situation?
