Pancreas cancer

Anyone able to help.  Im helping care for my dad at moment who has terminal pancreas cancer it has spread to his liver has a dvt in his leg edemas in his face and head that actualy leaked out the skin  he us on the morphine patches for the pain.  The pain was really bad due to unsucsessful surgery in september but the managed o remove the gallbladder and put a stent in the duct but that was all.  They have said he only has weeks to live but apart from that he feels great and we can't get our head round this he is on steriods so is alwas hungry but is managing to eat fine he does have to have 4 craons before eating and still has to go to the toilet and the pain releif patches keep pain at bay.  Has anyone experianced this with a family member before.

    My husband died with pancreatic cancer last week. He seemed to be doing great. We went away end of July. In the summer he had been doing work outside and said he wasn't ready to die. 

    In September /October he started getting pains and couldn't lie on his side in bed . They upped his morphine and sent him home. He was still getting pains and went back into hospital  They said maybe he had a broken rib. His scans were fine cancer count had gone down and referred him to pain management team. Changed his chemo. Pain still getting worse went back into hospital gave him allsorts ketamine nothing helped. They then told him the chemo wasn't working. No pain relief seemed to work he passed away on the 27th November. Can't believe it. He wasn't ready to go
