Hello Melita,
You have come to the right place to find support from others who may be going through a similar experience. I hope your husband is recovering well from his operation and that he isn't in too much pain.
If you have any questions following your husband's surgery, our knowledgeable nurses are only a free phone call away. You can reach them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
I am sure others here will be along soon to say hello and share their story with you,
Best wishes,

Hi Melita,
Welcone to this supportive forum. Yes, when someone we love has cancer, It does make us feel useless. Over the years I have lost several family member to cancer and each time it has made me feel like you describe especially when it was my mother. Dont be to hard on yourself, it's alway difficult to know what to say or do. The main this is I feel sure your husband will realize you are there supporting him which is what matters most.
Take care and please stay in contact, Brian.
