Hi everyone.
This is all very very new to me and I'm petrified.
My usual totally independent fit healthy 64 yr old aunt who is my 2nd mother come to stay with us about 6/7 weeks ago now as she was feeling dizzy with blurred vision. Since confirmed as paraneoplastic cerebellar syndrome which is a rare collection of symptoms from the malignancies. This got worse and progressd to a slight tremor on one hand which rapidly spread to both arms and then legs within about 4days. I fought for a week everyday at docs, hospital, ambulances etc to finally get her taken into hospital.
They have done various tests scans etc and biopsy of lymph node confirmed cancer cells. They cannot find primary source. She is now bed bound cannot walk at all can see on and off. Cant eat, feels sick all time, so up and down no day is the same.
Have today been told she isn't well enuf for sedation for more scans etc and too weak etc. They want to focus on keeping her comfortable etc. Does this mean something they not telling me as yet? There is so much more to this story too.
