wish us luck please

My husband had a brain tumour removed 12 months ago and has been living with a primary tumour in his lung for 12 months. Tomorrow he will undergo an operation to strengthen his femur which is close to breaking after a huge tumour was discovered in the bone. Amputation has been bandied around and i feel as if i am hanging on to my sanity by my fingernails now. My husband doesn't know i use this site, but i need to talk and listen to other people experiencing the same anxieties and it would give me strength to know others who understand are sending us best wishes while i am waiting for him to come out of surgery. Love and best wishes to all of us trying to cope.

  • Hi

Hope your husband's operation went ok. The forum is a good place to share feelings when we feel there is no where to turn and caring for a loved one with cancer can seem a very lonely place at times as well as emotionally draining.  I did find talking to others gave me a sense of deeper understanding and  though my husband knew I came to the site we never discussed the conversations I joined.  He understood I needed a place to off load in order to cope day to day.  Look after yourself.
