Sister in Law

My sister in Law is 29yr old and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer about 3 years ago. She is the baby of the Family. It was found in her colon and spread from there. After her last operation when the Doctors remove tumors from her skull she has since gotten worse. She is bed ritten and it is extreamly difillcult for my Wife and her family to see a girl so full of life just waist away right in front of our eyes. We are from Puerto Rico and we dont want to give up on her and I know that she does not want to give up as well. This is all new to us and I need to know what else can we do for her,my question to this forum is does she still have a chance if we were to take her to the USA and see if there is anything else that can be done while she is still alive  and not see her waist away.

  • Hi arv992,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum and we are so sorry to hear about your sister in law and that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at such a young age. I am sure she does appreciate all you are doing for her and having such a supportive family must be of great comfort to her.

I am sorry but as we are based in the UK, we don't really know the answer to your question about your sister in law's options in the USA but perhaps you could get in touch with the American Cancer Society. It provides online, email and telephone information for people with cancer in English and Spanish.

Don't hesitate to keep on using this forum though to talk to others who can really understand what you and your sister in law are going through.

    Best wishes,
