  • Hi Mark

Welcome to the forum though sad to see the reason that brings you here.  Though I do not have experience of the cancer you Mum has been diagnosed with, I watched and cared for my husband during his cancer journey. It is certainly not easy watching a loved one struggle both with the cancer but also the treatment,  I am pretty sure just seeing you will be enough for your Mum. Not sure if you are living at home but in I found the best way of coping was day to day and to be honest was guided by my husband as to what he needed from me.  A very hard and sometimes frustrating period because all you want is to be able to help and not knowing what's for the best is sometimes a guessing game!

If you would like advice then a phone call to the nurses on this site 9-5 on normal working days(freephone from UK landlines on number at bottom of the page) may be of help and I am sure other members of this friendly community will be along to offer support. You can also post in the Ask the Nurses section (responses may be a few days as they can be a little busy) and it may be a good idea to put the kind of Cancer mum has in the title of your post - others with similar experience will pick up on this.

All the very best and hope Mum responds well to her current treatment. Jules54
