Skin soreness from radiotherapy

my mum finished radiotherapy 4 weeks ago to her lung and has now come up with blisters and sore skin , is this normal so long after treatment has finished ? Also could anyone advise a good cream

  • Hi Harvey and welcome though sorry to hear that your Mum is suffering from such sore skin. We all react differently to radiotherapy but I had the same issues as your Mum and did not heal until about five/six weeks after completing treatment. I use Diprobase (available in Boots and other chemists)  and it works well for me. I also bought 100% organic Aloe Vera. Some people, including the radiology team,  recommended E45 but I found that a bit harsh. I hope this help and that your Mum starts to heal soon. take care  Sue x
