I hope your wife is recovering well. I have certainly never heard of this requirement and I would suggest that you give the nurses here on the site a call. Their number is shown at the bottom of the page (free) and they are available Mon-Fri during office hours - they are a lovely bunch of people and I am sure will be able to help you.

Hi
Max has given some very good advice. I too have never heard of this being a legal requirement. However when my friend had a double mastectomy and reconstruction she was asked if she would mind having before and after photographs to help other patients facing such a procedure. This was voluntary and she was more than happy to go ahead and was extremely happy with the results of the surgery,
I do hope your wife is making a good recovery. Jules54
