is this normal?

Hi all, as I explained in my last post, my mother has terminal cancer, she has a 4 inch tumor in between her lungs and it is spreading, to the thorax, which as I understand it, is the medical term for the whole chest cavity, it has also spread to her live, my question is this, For the last few weeks my mum has lost all strength in her left arm, and now the right arm is losing strength, she says she get pins and needles in them and once that stops, she gets pain, could it be the tumor is growning and pressing on her nerves, which in turn is causing not only the loss of strength in the arms, but the pain as well? She starts her chemo on Wednesday 20th May, if the chemo works and the tumor shirks, does that mean that she MAY get some of the strength back in her arms?

Has anyone else experienced this???

Thank you in advance
