Update :)

Firstly i just want to say i havent posted on here for a while because i have been quite busy with a lot of things: Anyway my dads finally finished his chemo and radio therapy, hes getting a tiny bit better. but he wont be having his voice back. He's had his bloods taken and theyve come back fine now he just has to wait until the end of may until he can have a scan to see if he has the all clear because all the chemicals from chemo and radio are still in his body. He's allowed to work in 6 months time but not full time, he can only do part time or a couple hours a week. but all it is now is pain for him, hes managing to keep more food down rather than bring it back up. He had his birthday not long ago, went to see him and got him a Queen CD as its his fave band and a 'his lordship' mug. I did find out though that if my dad didnt live with his mum then he wouldnt be here(he moved in before he got what he got because of some reasons) and he said he has stage 3 cancer. So now we're all just waiting for him to have his scan and get his results as soon as he can. Fingers crossed it's gone.

Now for my grandad, i think he's been given the all clear basically but they said its still in him just not like it was. He's still ill though but he's been going out to St Lukes for his lunch every tuesday, he's even managed to get out in the sun but not for liong. he's managed to leave his flat for a couple hour before he starts feeling ill, which is a good improvement because before he couldnt really go out much because he always felt really crap.

  • Hello Abbi97,

Thanks for updating us on your dad and your grandad's situations. It's great that your grandad is now managing to leave his flat and go out for a couple of hours. That certainly does him a lot of good I am sure.

A Queen CD? That's a brilliant birthday present. I bet he was really pleased with it.  I agree with your dad, Queen is a great band.

I have now bumped your post back to the top of the list so that others can respond to you!

Best wishes and keep updating us on how things are going,

  • Abbi97 - Hi! Thats great news isn't it! It amazes me just how good these doctors are and their treatments. I bet dads looknig forwards to returning to work - seeing his mates again and everything. And now he can sip his tea in your mug! He is so lucky to have a daughter like you!

It must have been hard for you with all these men keeling over with illness = but now they are back and going good. So lets celebrate XXX

    Nice to hear from you
