My husband retired from government service over a yer ago. We lived in Florida and planned on him taking a retirement job in Virginia. He was offered a terrific job and moved to Virginia in early December. My husband was having pain in his chest for about a month before we moved and it got so bad that he checked himself Into a Virginia hospital, where he was told after a scan that it looked like a mass on his lung. He's been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer after the pet scan showed the adrenal gland was affected. Ten days ago he was operated on and the huge mass, bigger than a tennis ball was removed. Tomorrow we meet with the surgeon for diagnosis of the pathology report.
hi Roxie = from a cold and snowy UK. It must have been a huge change of plans when your hubby was found with that cancer - but thank goodness it was!! You are very welcome here and there are people who offer support to people with lung cancer. In mean times - have a lovely day and my wife and I will be thinking of you both and all your family as you see the doctors again.
