My husband was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer back in March T3NOMO .

Had 4 rounds of Flot chemo then went in for esophagectomy surgery on 14th Sept .

he was doing so well for first 5 days but then contracted sepsis and was put in ICU induced coma where he has been for 13 days . Day 5 of being on there they had to open him up again as they found a leak of bile into his bowl . They fixed that and he seemed to be turning a corner and improving . But now 7 days later as they are starting to bring him round he now has CPE infection and has been isolated in a side room in ICU . 
his infection markers have again started to rise .

hes still on a ventilator but they fitted a tracheotomy 3 days ago .

he’s also very agitated as they try and bring him round. 
I am dealing with this all on my own and it’s just horrific 

he’s in a hospital 2 hours away so I have been staying over to be with him every day .

he was a fit and healthy 58 year old before this and at the gym every day . 

Has anyone else been through this surgery and experienced these kind of complications.
