Hi, My husband was diagnosed with CLL in Oct 2023 and has been on a watch and wait scheme, however at the last consultant appointment he was told that treatment is now needed.

His is not symptomatic but his 'numbers' are trending all the wrong way and so in the consultants words ' we dont want to wait for a nuclear fall out!' so it was always inevitable that treatment was going to be needed at sometime.

He is presently waiting genetic blood results (I assume waiting on assessments relating to the TP53 and or IGHV gene results) before the course of treatment can be individualised and started.   I guess responses etc will be different for everyone but generally just wanted to know does anyone have any experiences and what can we expect?
