I can completely understand why you would expect your husband to have follow up reviews after having radical surgery and follow up chemotherapy for bladder and kidney cancer and it must be worrying too to know that he also has diabetes and has had heart issues for 10 years. It would be reassuring indeed if they could keep an eye on everything and monitor the remaining kidney. You did well to contact the urology department and I would have thought they would be the right people to contact but I am sorry that you haven't been able to speak to someone who knows what the next steps might be. Could they put you in touch with the specialist who will be in the best position to give you further guidance as to what to expect?

You definitely need some answers on this and if you are struggling to get clarity, it might be worth contacting your GP surgery and explaining your situation and perhaps they can find out from the urology department what the follow up care will be like for your husband. Perhaps you could also tell them about your concerns and your husband's other medical conditions and your desire for him to have regular follow-ups and that he hasn't seen anyone since January. Hopefully they will be able to get the ball rolling again...
