  • Hello Needsupport,

your post attests to the truth that cancer is an insidious affliction that affects a much wider participation than just the recipient. The scars it leaves upon families are not easy to deal with and there are no places to hide the grief and anguish it delivers to your doors.

l am sorry to hear of your fears for his isolation and lack of support, but their are 3 organisations that will go an extra mile to aid those suffering with a cancer diagnosis, perhaps a conversation with advisors at MAGGIES might be your first place to seek help, comfort and advice, As a former user of their service l have nothing but praise for the understanding and support l received on my climb back out of the doom of a stage 4 diagnosis.

They will point to the other 2 should they feel it appropiate, and offer yourself support in dealing with your shock and trauma. It seems so little to offer but l hope this reply helps in some small way,and you find a little sunshine moment in each day that breaks through your gloom
