My husband has just finished 6 weeks of radiotherapy and chemo for throat cancer. We have been told it is going to get worse before it gets better. He is constantly sleeping and unable to eat anything. I think mentally he is coping ok and is very positive that he just needs to get through this. I’m really struggling though and feel like I have lost him as a person. He’s just an empty shell at the moment. Everytime I look online for positive stories and some hope, it ends up making me depressed as everything seems to be negative. I know it is awful for him and I should he the strong one. But how do you cope when they’re not themselves anymore. I just feel sad and helpless.
