Squamous non small cell lung cancer - husband has just been diagnosed. Does anyone else have this?

My husband has been diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer with cancer now in his chest lymph nodes.  Doctors won't operate as they say its too dangerous but he is still strong with no symptoms.  He's had 6 rounds of chemo & they are offering him some more different chemo

We are going private for a second opinion. Is there anyone with this cancer please

  • Hello Coolisker

I'm sorry to hear that your husband has been diagnosed with lung cancer. It's understandable that this is a difficult time for you both and natural that you want to explore treatment options. Hopefully the second opinion appointment will bring you some answers.

I can't see that we have any active members at the moment going through treatment for this diagnosis. You might want to have a look at the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. You're also most welcome to give our team of nurses a call to chat things through with them. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

I hope that your husband remains well and that whatever treatment pathway he follows, things progress smoothly.

Sending you both my best wishes,
