I'm sorry to hear that your relative is currently experiencing some problems due to their cancer diagnosis. It's understandable that you want to try and help them make the best decision for their situation. 

There is some information on the Macmillan website about a ureteric stent that you might find helpful but I'd also suggest giving our team of nurses a call to chat things through with them. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 and will be happy to offer any advice, information and support they can. 

I hope that your relative is being well supported by the health professionals involved in their care and they're able to make your loved one more comfortable soon.
