Left with no treatment

Hi! My son 43 years old( never used alcohol). Used to be heavy smoker. On 24 June this year was diagnosed with HCC cancer. Specialist in Leeds said - nothing can be done. He has left a few weeks or few months. Now 4 months later my son's belly is like 9 months pregnant. They thought it's fluid and turned out it's not. Belly keeps growing and only thing he getting is morphine.

Do we have someone here who went through with something similar or same? They keeping him in hospital and saying that home is not option. Doesn't explain why home isn't option.

I'm so confused. I wish somebody could explain to me what happening? He is upset because no any kind of treatment was given. And how much more skin can support so fast belly grow. And his cancer feeds from his sugars.
