Hi there! My husband has bladder cancer too. Ages 55 years. A complete shock as so healthy.
If you would like to talk, I'm happy to share our journey so far!
It's a scary time.
I was diagnosed in 2001 age 43. It took 7 years of rounds of surgery followed by chemotherapy (And one of failed immunotherapy) to stop the tumours returning. It became such a big part of every day life that I became quite blazé about it.
Hang in there. I have been left with no issues or collateral damage.
My husband was diagnosed in February. He's been through radical surgery and chemo and we still don't know if he's clear.
My advice is listen to everything they tell you, go away and think about it, talk to the professionals; you should have been allocated a specialist nurse and make a joint decision.
Stay strong and take every day as it comes. Xx
