Brain cancer diagnosis

Hi there, my dad was diagnosed yesterday with Brain cancer of the frontal lobe. It’s come as a massive shock and I don’t know how I am going to cope. My mum already has terminal cancer. Has anyone been in this same position and if so how did you put on a brave face to get on with daily life???? Thanks

  • Hello KellsBells83,

I'm very sorry to learn of your dad's diagnosis and can't imagine how difficult it has been for you and your family. Caring for loved ones with cancer can feel like a lonely place sometimes, but please know that you're not alone and there is support out there when it becomes hard to keep that brave face. Don't be afraid to lean on those close to you, as talking through your feelings with someone you trust can lighten the load a bit. We have guidance for family, friends and carers, including resources that might be available to you. Your dad's medical team are there to hear your questions and concerns, but we also have information on brain tumours, which includes advice on treatment options and ways of coping. You can refer to these pages at anytime.

I hope this is helpful in some way and the forum is always here for you.
