Most definitely C is a .......... Sending you both strength and hope to get thru this.

On a practical note have you spoken to anyone about financial support to help ease the strains  of that side of things ....might be worth a phone call Macmillan very helpful to us.

And humour is what gets us through

  • Well the good news is we finally got there after70odd mile trip...only to be told after seeing info forwarded after our 10hr stint in Lincoln A/E urologist has summarised

there maybe signs of C cells in Liver an lungs..so quite understandable the doctor has said without more information,,,No good treating this if it maybe That...so now got to wait for appointment back at Leicester for biopsy on liver,,,meanwhile  partner still got blood in urine,,an feeling ***...personally i could SCREAM...Dont

know what HE/WE done to deserve this but i hope at least one of us enjoyed it................

  • Hello Rusty Jasper4

That is totally understandable to feel like screaming ....so beeping frustrating ......when you just want your partner to feel better.

Was there no suggestions to help ease symptoms/ pain in meantime?

Perhaps try GP for this Annoying but maybe worth a try?

I hope an appointment comes through quickly for biopsy so you get some useful answers asap.

It is a cliche but it is very much true one day at a time.

Macmillan nurse help line are good and open every day you both may find helpful whilst in this not knowing place ....

    Remember you are not alone

    Sending strength RB

  • Thanks for kind/supportive words...still trying to juggle work/home. Demands...and be positive about *** we now find ourselves in...such a contrast to maybe a year ago..when partner flipping fit for his age...I .got home after long shift....(Knackered!!) only to be informed Ive done this ..an this,,,An thats all sorted...as opposed to current..."Didnt sleep to well..." bit of Breakie...im going for a lie down....maybe 11.30/12.00 up for sandwich ...an spot of emmerdale...the ancient repeats...more his era......He loves to be outside to be doing manly outdoorsy things...but he keeps saying...just so knackered...hes today informed me...he was advised to drink LOTS of fluids...but overdoing the staple cuppa T...seems to make blood more obvious in urine...so trying to stick to water an squash..considering he been a gin an tonic fella almost all his life...im really proud of the ol goat..hope this makes time killing reading...whats your situation??? you been through it ...or like me just having to fork out on lucky heather..an rabbits foot..!!!

  • Hi Rusty_Jasper

Us? Hubby is the one fighting to ....that is Cancer ....almost 18 months in now.  Oesophageal and secondaries so not curable but still here!

The bit you and your partner are at  was mix of shock and waiting to be seen by Oncologist / start treatment for us too.

Fatigue is common at all stages from what I read from others on the forum and a huge adjustment.

And is heart breaking seeing them slow right down ....so big hug.to you both.

I guess id say make the most of the moments of not so tired and definitely keep up fluids and if not eating ...protein drinks are good ...

We are all here doing the best we can

    No question too small

    Look after yourself too....very important

    Kindest wishes
