Grandmother diagnosed with bowel lymphoma

My grandmother has been diagnosed with bowel lymphoma. What are the types of bowel lymphoma? It's been deemed 'non-aggressive' and now they're now testing the cancer. What can we expect next?

  • Just to say, this was small bowel cancer in the jejundum.

  • Hi fridayswonder,

I am so sorry to hear your grandmother has been diagnosed with small bowel cancer in the jejunum but I am glad that it has been deemed non aggressive and I hope that you will find out more soon about what to expect in terms of treatment options. We have detailed information on our website on small bowel cancer which will tell you more about what small bowel cancer is and there you will learn more about the different types of small bowel cancer. It mentions that "more than 15 out of 100 small bowel cancers (more than15%) are lymphomas, usually found in the jejunum".

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been diagnosed with the same type of small bowel cancer and that they will be able to tell you more about what to expect next. I thought I would mention this other thread   wrote about a year ago - this member was also diagnosed with lymphoma in the bowel and might be a good person for you to connect with so don't hesitate to drop a line on their thread if you wish to do so.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm if there is anything you would like to ask them or if you want to find out more about what to expect next.

    Best wishes,
