After chemotherapy side effects after a year.

  • After chemotherapy the bone marrow shrunk and my mother has got anemia . 

  • She has is vomiting on daily basis. Thus she is on liquid diet. There is significant weight loss as well.  

  • She has had thrombosis in her veins thus she can’t have TOTAL PARENTAL NUTRITION (TPN). 

  • What is the best solution for the above is there  any other treatment?? Help please

    I'm sorry to hear that your Mother is struggling with ongoing health issues. It sounds like it's a difficult time for you both and it's understandable that you have questions and concerns. 

    Is your Mum being seen regularly by specialists or a doctor regarding these problems? If not, then do make an appointment with her GP to discuss the situation. 

    You may find it helpful to talk things through with one of our nurses. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. 

    I do hope that your Mother can access the support she needs to improve her daily quality of life.

    Thanks for your help. She is seen by Oncologists and Gastrologist but I somehow feel they have given up. They say this is the best treatment they can provide.
