My husband is terminally diagnosed and I would like to find him a hotel that does day bookings or similar to use a disabled shower. He uses a wheelchair and cannot stand unaided. Anyone know if such support exists?
We have a local day centre run in partnership with the local authority and a housing association. For a nominal fee you can go for the day or am pm a lunch is included and you can get a shower/bath with assistance from care staff if needed. It may also afford you a break from care to have some time for yourself. There may be a facility like this near you.
