new partner diagnosis multiple myeloma

my partner and i have been together for four years and are very happy. we are 71 and 69. we live in Wiltshire and he has just been diagnosed with MM. we do not know the stage yet, treatment has not begun yet.

he is counting on me to be the informed one - so far.

i am seeking support as i am from Toronto and all of my friends, family are there. i have very few people in UK - only my partner’s friends. this is fine but i still must find my own way through this as i will be his primary carer while he is undergoing probably 12 months of treatment in total.

all recommendations and suggestions will be very appreciated. i have had so e experience with cancer - breast (my best friend who is a dr. in Toronto) and a close man friend who passed away six years ago from pancreatic.

i look forward to hearing from Cancer Research UK regarding resources.

very sincerely,

g
