  • Hello dj060565

I'm so very sorry to hear that your partner has recently been told that his cancer has returned. It must have been a blow for you both to be given this news.

I can imagine that it's been additionally difficult for you as your partner has said that he doesn't want any more treatment after 16 years. How do you feel about this? Have the two of you had an opportunity to talk with each other and the specialists about things?

I know that we have previously had members here in the Cancer Chat community whose loved ones have chosen to not continue with treatment. Hopefully you will get some replies from others who have words of support and experience that they can share with you.

In the meantime, if it would help to talk things through with one of our nurses, you're welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, support and information they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Sending you both my best wishes at this difficult time.
