I'm sorry to hear that your relative has recently been told they have oesophageal cancer and that there is a possibility it has spread to the liver. It's understandable that this may be a worrying time for you all, and natural that you will have questions about the best way to support your loved one.

Only the specialists involved in your relatives care will be able to say if chemotherapy will be of any benefit and what options for treatment and management may be useful. Hopefully your loved one won't have to wait long before the team have all the information they need to be able to answer some of these questions.
