  • Hello Peaches46

I'm sorry to hear that your partner has recently been diagnosed with incurable oesophageal cancer. Understandably, this is a worrying time for you both.

It's positive to hear that the specialists feel there are treatment options available and hopefully, you will have some information about the recommended next steps before too long.

We have some information about oesophageal cancer on our website that may be helpful. You might also want to have a look at this thread and maybe post a message. Lots of members who have many different experiences with this diagnosis have shared their stories there and hopefully,y you will be able to connect with some of them soon.

If it would help to talk with one of our nurses you're most welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

The Cancer Chat community is here for you any time you want to post Peaches46. Whether it's to ask questions, put down your thoughts in a safe space or chat with others who understand some of what you're dealing with, we're here to offer any support we can.

    Keep in touch.

  • Hi Peaches46

my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 spread to liver in October 24. We have 4 rounds chemo/immunotherapy. Results from 1st ctscan today tumours have shrunk very positive.

Accept treatment even though not curable. Positive and fight. You can beat this.
