My wife was diagnosed  with  triple negative  breast  cancer in April  23  she also has rheumatoid  arthritis  she underwent  6 months  of chemo  before a lumpectomy  and lymph  nodes  being  removed.

After this was told op a success  but chemo hadn't  worked  so then underwent  19 episodes of radiotherapy followed  by 6 months of oral chemo  which only finished  in October

Just before  Xmas  discovered  a new lump in her collar  bone area scan says there  are teo tumours  awaiting  mri and ct scan in a weeks  time .

I'm devastated  and also angry as this wasn't  checked anytime during or after care as we were told the oral chemo  would be a preventive and less than 3 months after finishing we are back at the start

  • Hello Kev2261,

I can completely understand why you are feeling both devastated and angry after this new lump in her collarbone was found just before Christmas time and it must be so hard to be told that there are two tumours but not to have all the details yet and to be awaiting the MRI and CT scans which will hopefully shed some light on what is going on. It is very frustrating to feel that you are back at the start with the added worry that this wasn't checked or found earlier.

We're thinking of you during this challenging time and I hope that you will find out soon what the next steps will be and what the treatment plan will involve. Do come back here and let us know what you find out once you have had the results of your MRI and CT scans if you get a chance and if you have any questions once you get the results, feel free to ring our nurses' helpline on this free number 0808 800 4040 - it is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,
