My dad has liver cancer.... he is loosing weight, lost his appetite and barely staying awake. He sleeps more than he is awake!. Does that mean he doesn't have long left?
I'm sorry to hear that your Dad has liver cancer. It's obviously a difficult time for you all at the moment.
The symptoms you've described of loss of appetite and struggling to stay awake could mean that your Dad is approaching the end of life however it's really important that you talk with your Dad's care team about this as they will be best placed to answer some of your questions. Does your Dad have support from a palliative care team or hospice team? Do give them a call if they're not due to visit soon. It's part of their role to support your Dad and the wider family through this journey.
