Pancreatic recurrence

Hi,

my husband diagnosed with  adenocarcinoma of the pancreas in 2022 age 58,it was picked up by accident from a CT scan of his spine , but it actually saved his life ,!!! had major surgery in November 2022, had body/tail of pancreas removed and his spleen, it was grade 3 with lymph nodes infected too FULFIRINOX chemo for 9 mths , major probs with neutropenia and low palatelets, had to keep postponing his treatment , didn’t finish all his sessions in the end , chemo stopped in November 2023,

Had a major heart attack in May 2024 caused by FULFIRINOX Had to have triple heart by-pass !

Hes not been feeling well and been in much pain for past 8 weeks

so oncologist brought  his  3 mth CT forward and we got told on Monday that his pancreatic cancer has come back , inoperable and incurable, now on palliative care, they going to try and shrink it with Gemcitabine and nab-palaces if it responds ,we are all in complete shock , but I just can’t cry at the moment , everyone around me have  been in tears , but for the past 2 years it’s been absolute horrendous watching him going through all this illness, he’s been so fit all his life, played rugby , never been ill , had his own business, which we have now sold , he retired when he got diagnosed , we should be enjoying our lives together now , going away , making new memories with our children and grandchildren but we’ve virtually done nothing as he’s been so ill ,so many things we wanted to do and I just don’t think we’re going to get there , so many things are going around my head , what /ifs/when /how —how long ?

it’s unbearable to think about it
